Somatic Therapy
Somatic Therapy is a body-based therapeutic approach that supports healing through awareness of the nervous system, bodily sensations and felt experience, rather than focusing solely on thoughts or behaviours.
This work recognises that many emotional patterns and responses are held implicitly in the body, particularly in the context of stress, trauma or relational experiences. At One Another, we often draw on Hakomi as a somatic framework, using mindfulness and gentle curiosity to explore these patterns in a safe, relational way. Through developing body awareness, clients can build greater emotional regulation, insight and capacity for change that carries into everyday life.
